Violá – "Hello World" on Amazon S3.
I used S3Fox Firefox plugin, created a ‘bucket’ called "fiachtest",and uploaded a file.
One "gotcha" was that you have to set the ACL list to "Read" for everyone, or else you get an error:

<Message>Access Denied</Message>
<RequestId>610A8339214A7E05</RequestId>
Otherwise easy-peasy.
